Chip Removing

I have some chips at the front of the hood, some scuffs on front and rear bumper, and a odd little scratch on a door i want to get taken care of.
Any good body shop should be able to colour match my black car without having to do a full paint job n'est pas (that's french)? I assume it wouldn't be too hard, and i know a guy who seems good and dirt cheap (i had him fix my old car after a little fender bender and he colour matched my faded red Ford Escort GT perfectly and rebuilt a bashed in portion of my bumper for $200CAD).
Anyhow, is that my best bet to fill those blemishes - i've met with some resistence from you folks on the idea of the Turtle wax with the colour sitck - just want to know what my other options are.

Here we go, the car is dirty so bear with me...
There are the stone chips or whatever along the front of the car

Here is another example from a different perspective:

Same general deal, but this is along the side of the car (this may be one of 2 or 3 examples, most of the damage is on the hood)

Here is the front bumper scuff i want removed/repaired (more appropriatly)

While hard to see there are some scuffs on the rear bumper - about the size of a license plate

Could a auto body guy fix that stuff without repainting the whole hood and/or car!? I'm such a detailing noob!

Please do recall that my car can be cleaned, and for not being waxed in the past little while (hopefully not too long of a while) it isn't as horrible as those close ups made it look!

Spring in Canada isn't the cleanest time of year, that's for sure!

Those airbrush paint chip repair guys work wonders! Once you see a repair using an airbrush, you'll never use touchup paint again!

Then i drove to Canadian Tire and bought $80 worth of detailing stuff including turtle wax with the colorstick to fill in the holes.
Now, should i pursue a body shop or polish and wax or; polish and wax and body shop?
