I am wondering if anyone has suggestions for a reliable, yet affordable, auto body and paint place to take my '93 850. I have some residual collision damage, as well as other scrapes and weather damage...Any tips would be great, thanks!

and the location...

I took my car to a local Maaco place to get some body work and a paint job.. they made it look great. Call them up or check their website to see if they have a location near you.

Yeah, there is this place in Nigeria...My first guess would be that you're in that area.....

I got my Beijing Jeep painted in the Minhang suburb of Shanghai. They do great work and a full repaint was only $400 with Chinese-sourced materials.

Otherwise, I had good luck with Fuchs LKW-Service in Kirschheim-Bolanden between Kaiserslautern and Mannheim in Germany. They repainted a fender on my C240 wagon and it turned out perfect.

If you are on Pluto, there is a place near that one rock - you know the rock I'm talking about? - you turn left by that other rock, then pass tow other rocks - it's right there.

Seriously - Maaco places are OK for painting if you yank all your trim, headlights and anything that will give you a better edge. You'll get a much beter job that way. Their bodywork quality really depends on the actual person doing it. Some is really bad.

My cousin had a wicked body shop in Nairobi, Kenya, they mostly built rally cars and other european tuners. He has now moved to Perth, Australia and has opened a new shop- maybe you are in one of those two places???

Agreed, Maaco sux. All the cars that I've ever seen painted there also got thier mud flaps, tires, headlights, and even exhaust oversprayed for free!

I wish i could help you in your search, as i'm looking for the same type of help, but i think i've found a guy - did some good work for me before, but he's a dirtbag and he's cheap, so i love it.
