and can you explain diff between crushed and mandrel bent...and is there a diff in performance??...i dont care bout looks cause i think i've only seen the underside of my car maybe once in the last 2 years...and that was today.

Mandrel bender..


no change in the ID of the pipe throughout the bends.

crush bend, BIG "bottlenecks" in flow.

i ended up paying $500 for 3" ss catback w/ magnaflow muffler (mandrel bends). i would suggest buying the muffler online and save 50-70 bucks. i didn't, big mistake.

did you notice a big diff in performance...better low end gains etc.

has anyone done a dyno test between a 3" mandrel bent and a 3" crushed bend system. we are only talking about a 300hp car here. just curious.

Lot's of opinions on Mandrel v Crushed.

For the 850 the bends aren't severe - so IMO the performance difference between mandrel and crush pipe is very small.

Please don't use a reactive muffler. Sure they're made in my homeland but still, they're 15 dollar ebay specials.

580 just get a catback from a big name like IPD.

check that out, thats a 3 inch exhaust and downpipe, car may be different but it will pull a lot harder and have a similiar note
