no more than 5000 miles max. I read it on here that after 4000miles the crap in the oil more than doubles. and a customer who brings his car in for service showed me two lab reports on his car '04 Taurus one oil change at 6000 miles and one at 4000 miles the levels of stuff they found had more than trippled
1996 Volvo 854 2.4L non-turbo 212,xxx miles Forsyth, Ga.
Works in progress - Conversion to turbo with a NA motor or 260hp no turbo. Say a prayer for me.
302mm brakes, IPD sway bars front and rear, QBM end links, MSD 6A ignition w/Blaster 2 coil pack, Jet Chip, Bilstein Shocks/Struts, R Springs. Hell I can't remember everything else.

How ya like the Motul Charles? Great stuff if I must say so myself. Whenever I order it though, the cans always come dented. Oil costing $10/quart should not come in dented cans mad.gif .

blink.gif Your poll is flawed. What if someone changed their oil at 3500 or 6500 miles?

I change mine usually a bit before 3500 miles with Motul 300V 5w-40 or Voll Synthese 5w-40.

You round up or down. Most people won't change exactly on the mile. Most will say "3000" or "4000", not "3500" !!

I could have done 0 - 2,999, 3,000 - 4,999 etc, but thought that was a bit over the top!

6-8k which is about 5 months for me. dont do short drives ever really. use mobil 1 0w-40.

I read a good article on the mobil 1 that says only over 8k does the oil start to suffer with contaminats rising etc.

I also have an oil cooler which reduces the stress on the oil, but with engine oil its the engines nasty by-products that make changing necessary. Thats why atf can go 100k without a change if it stays at operating temps.
