on my 2003 V70 2.4T Volvo says every 7500 miles. I use 5w40 Valvoline Synpower at 5,000. It's what is called for in my 2003 VW Passat 1.8T and is the weight used for Volvos in Europe and Australia from what I have seen.

5k with premium synthetic blend 10W-30 in our mild winter and 15W-40 in the summer. I'm going to try a synthetic 5W-40 year 'round, and use oil analysis to see if it is good for 10,000 miles in my '96 turbo. Mann W917 oil filters and Mann air filter.

The time limit on oil is very variable. If you make many short, cool trips, change it sooner. If you make very few, but longer, trips, the oil is likely good for at least a year.

Every 8000 kms (5000 mi. give or take). Why give the Arabs or Big Oil more money than you should? Plus I have numerous cars in my past that went well over 100K miles to prove that the interval works just fine. At least I've never had an oil-related failure with either dino or syn.

And a whole bunch of past Volvos (7), VWs (7), SAABs (5), Land Rovers (3), etc.
