I am looking to replace the spring seats on my 94 850 NA 5-speed. When viewing the top of the struts from the engine bay there is a space between the nut and rubber peices. From reading on here i have deducted that this cause by broken spring seats. The car clunks when going over bumps. Also has 172k on stock set up.

I could Find spring seats on fcp only found Strut mount bushing are theses the same
part # L3031-104479

Can i resure the nut, washer and all the other piece on the top of the strut. Where can i get new one the dealer.

I am on a budget and just want to prolong the life of the car a touch. What happens if i don't replace them??

You just need the spring seat about $30/$40 you can reuse the nuts

Could someone please varify this part on from FCP. FCP does not list a spring seat (or at least i could find one) but i belive that this is the correct part

Thanks. That confrims what i though. I need to get a new strut mount bearing. It seems that it is often called the spring seat on this board.

It actually is the spring seat but as long as you ordered a part that looked like that your fine.
