compressor in-op. 1995 850 NA, 104K mi

jumped pressure switch, compressor came on. turned in car for leak check, they said condensor was leaking under pressure. the system now has nothing in it. germans did the T/S'ing, they wouldn't show me where the leak was, i guess i'll i have to believe them...if it was a connector only, i think they would've told me. my condensor shows no signs of rust/corrosion.

need to quickly fix system to close it back up from outside air/corrosion. since im ordering condensor, i thought i'd change the receiver-drier, too.

how's it come off? one line has a nut but the other has a round connector. is it quick release? does it require special tools?

any help or additional advice on what i should do at this juncture would be appreciated.

went back to speak with technician who found the leak. turned out he marked the leak with white paint. it's on the drivers side of condensor on the metal line coming out of the condensor...where it exits, the line bends to go down to meet the rubber line below. there's no obvious corrosion here or anywhere else on the condensor.

- would i be OK to just remove the condensor and have it fixed, pressure tested?

Nedro,
Many of us who owns the 850 sooner or later has had to have the A/C repaired due to a leak in the condenser or the former owner had it done. Just replace the condenser and install a cabin air filter kit to keep the dirt out. I've never replaced the condenser myself so can't begin to tell you how. Do a search on some of the older posts and maybe you might find something on it. Good luck.
