Hey--
I need new pads and new rotors on my s70 and i have definetally decided on getting cross drilled rotors. My mechanic wants $520 for the full job which includes (4) new zimmerman x drilled rotors, and (4) PBR brake pads. Does this seem fair including labor and all?

I also went to NTB to get an estimate on the full brake job they said around $500 bucks for everything but this is including 4 OEM rotors and 4 ceramic brake pads...

ALSO...its time for my 80K check up...im curious what is involved in that check up and around how much it goes for.

the PBR metal master pads are garbage (if that is what he's planning on using)

FCP groton used to have a brake package on ebay but doesn't seem to be there any more. Their big brake upgrade is on there for $400ish

Contact them and ask for a deal on a full brake job as you described I would bet they would give you a deal, call and tell them you are a VS member

buy a kit for about $300, and pay someone the labor rates to install them....I'd say you'd be under $500 then, and you'd get the rotors you want, and the OEM pads that are WAYYYY better!....CALL FCP!!!

FYI, FCP has an entire kit on sale on eBay.
