My 1994 850 Turbo wagon will not idle. I had no codes, just 1-1-1. It will start and run, but dies on idle.
So I poked around and removed the vacuum hose in front of the engine that goes into something that seems llike either a sensor or controller.
This sensor/controller has (2) small dia tubes (size of a pinky) and an electrical connection. One of the hoses comes from the Engine and the other end seems to go from top to bottom and disappear! I think this part is bad.
I need help identifying this item. Thanks.

This part I think is the Vacuum (EVAP) valve. This connects via a hose to the engine vacuum and the other hose from the valve connects to the EVAP canister (Charcoal?). I must have a bad Vacuum (EVAP) valve? As soon as I plug in the engine vacuum hose to this valve, in Idle, engine dies. But i drove around today, runs as usual!
On my 850, this valve is located just below the top radiator hose. I can not seem to find this part on a few of the internet parts places. Is this a dealer item only?
Also how do I attach pics? I am new here.

the evap valve is to the right of the radiator and under the air intake. my '96 keeps giving me CELs for that part.
www.fcpgroton.com carries it. it's $70 i believe.

You would have to have a really bad vaccum leak to keep it from idling at all ...have you cleaned the IAC motor yet?
