I just changed the pads and rotors on my 98 C70. There used to be some noise from the original brakes but they were pretty torn up and I thought the noise was just that they were just down to the indicators telling me I needed new brakes( which I was aware I did anyway). I looked closely at it after a short test drive and the pads are still making contact with the rotors and creating the same noise. It obviously was not doing this when I installed the pads (after collapsing the pistons). HOW THE HELL DO I CORRECT THIS???....SO ANNOYING! I have this pimp-a** car that unfortunately has a metal-on-metal light grinding sound at slow speeds. PLEASE HELP

The brake pads will always be in contact with the rotors lightly. The square cut seal in the brake caliper is all what helps return the piston into the caliper. Your noise is probably caused by a bent rotor backing plate making contact with the backside of the rotor. Just push it away a little bit.

Did you use factory pads?...is it the front or rear? If it's the rear you need to apply a generous amount of say silicone based grease to the back of the pad
