I have aftermarket fog lights on my 98 V70 that are independantly wired. I have them connected to the battery and i just have a switch on my dash to turn them on and off. Because i wired them separately, they do not turn off when the car turns off so I tend to forget about them. I was wondering if there would be a way to tie these into the ignition so when the car shuts off, my lights do too. I appreciate any help. Thanks.

1. why on earth did you wire them that way?
2. yeah, just wire them into your headlights.

you should have wired them into the factory fog light wiring and got the oem switch and relay.
then all you need to do is run an ignition controlled 12v supply into the board up under the dash where the jumper (green cube) goes. this is how i have mine.
im sure some one else will come alone and post the pdf s70 instructions that ive seen floating around.

Thanks for the help. Yea i know i should have wired it with an oem switch. I put these in a while ago when i knew a lot less about my car. These are only temporary anyway. I'm gettin rid of them when i get V70R bumpers.

then what are you gonna do? have the R bumper grill inserts in there with no foglights?

no, sorry about that. i shoulda been more specific. The plan is to have R bumpers with the OEM forg lights.
