Last night I removed both damaged headlight lenses from my '96 850t. Both had bullseye rock holes thru the glass. I used a 5 minute clear-curing epoxy intended for glass repairs to fill the holes. Lenses were cleaned inside and out, and back on the car in under an hour. I know that some epoxies are very suseptable to UV over time but this is a chance I am willing to take for $3.99 and one hour of my time. Besides with the exception of the pinhole in the outside most of the epoxy is not exposed to UV and is inside the lenses.
Although I would love some new e-code lenses...they are a little pricey.
Cheers,
Doug

Nice job! You shouldn't have a problem. Since that stuff is designed to be used on the windshield as you pointed out, it will be UV stabilized and not affected by the elements or road chemicals/debris.
Along the same lines, anyone with ecode lenses that have the same problem can use the same fix!

I never thought to try that. I have two lenses with the same problem that I have already replaced. I could repair them and sell them cheap.
