i just rec'd today, and finished installing, the IPD sway bars, front and rear. they gave directions for both; each set said, "have car aligned" i have brand new tires 1 month old, so i just paid $50 for alignment.

do i have to again? one the front i only R+R'd the sway end links, this doesnt affect alignment. now on the rear, i had to remove the cross arm bolts to obtain the clearance necessary to install the new SB, but i got everything back in pretty close to where it was.

Should I realign or not. did doyu guys do it? i know 100's of you have these installed.

darn! they sure flatten out the turns! and i had new coils and struts/shocks before this.

yes, because you did the rear sway you should get another alignment.

if you had just done the front sway, then no

well, i can defininently say that in the recent alignment, the rear wasnt adjusted. those nuts were well coated with road grit, not recently loosened. Now, maybe this was because they didnt req adjustment.

Or because your alignment shop did a crappy job. I wish I could find a $50 alignment worth the money, most shops don't know what they are doing. I use a guy that rebuilds crash cars and isn't afraid to pull the car if necessary to get it right. He also charges $100 to 150, but the car is perfect when I get it back.

Actually if you just replaced the bars I wouldn't worry about it?...But it wouldn't hurt to be checked...toe is really the only adjustment and camber should not have been affected

I'd get an alignment for piece of mind. Especially since you just got new tires. You don't want to drive for a few thousand miles only to discover that you should have had an alignment at the start. The $100 you spend now will be less than the $100+ that you would have to spend on new tires.

Because of how you have to install the rear bar, I would have it aligned for all 4 wheels.

I did mine a month or so ago, then took it in to be aligned. It wasn't pulling or anything, just did it to be sure. I have had it aligned at this place before and they gave me a nice print out of how far off it was before and after the alignment. This time, nothing, so I can't even say if they did anything, except take my money.
