I noticed in the 10 months that I worked for a Volvo dealer that many cars came in with leaking rear main seals. Is this a very common issue?

I noticed in the 10 months that I worked for a Volvo dealer that many cars came in with leaking rear main seals. Is this a very common issue?

Well, evidently yes.
I've had 2 out of 3 RMS's changed, although one was just because I could when the engine was out of the car.

Rear mains are common issues on many cars..also take into consideration that the Volvos are probably all well over 100k..get that outta a domestic car and see what kind of leaks you have?
