I am not sure, the s80's is inside, while the s70's is under the wipers outside...

I also know that there are ways to fit the S80 filters into 850's with an adapter, but I don't know the site or place to source the converters. If I Recall Correctly iPd may have them.

The history goes like this, in about 1997 when the evaporators begin failing, Volvo noticed a lot of "stuff" on the evap cores and decided that couldn't be good, so the pollen filter was invented as part of the Evap kit. In 1998 the Pollen filter was standard equipment on cars. Now Evaps still fail even with the Pollen filter, problem is that the pollen filter only filters out side air, and most of the time for real cold operation you select recert. SO when the P2 cars came out, the "Cabin Filter" was invented. The cabin filter is internal to the car and 100% of the air all the time is filtered before it passes to the evap or into the cabin.
Thats the story and I'm sticking to it.

I don't know about IPD, but I have one one my car. I bought it off eBay a few years ago.

Yes, but if they used copper for the evaps they probably wouldn't have the issue at all?

Yes only one and it's out side. The below link works for the S70.
