i've seen my buddy do this same corner on w/ his ebrake going frigen fast in his 99 mustang (v6) and he has a manual it seems preptty like umm risky. well last night i was at a the same corner going 45ish and through the ebrake and decided that i was slowing down and my tires werent really slidding. so i went back at the same speed i pulled, twisted the wheel a bit more, punched it and drifted, let the ebrake off and kept on the gas to pull off the nicest drift with my front wheel drive, automatic volvo, un uprgraded that my buddy had ever seen (him being in the mustang at the intersection watching incase i came out bad). that was due to the fact it is a sort of y in the road with a small bridge after it. so he watched me do it around the origional corner and made sure their was no traffic when i blew the stop sign at the y to do a tighter corner. it was so nice i mean i was supprised. is there a way to improve this that anyones found? anyway ebrake line is bad now...

The story belongs in racing
Please explain whats wrong with the E-brake? Are the cables broken, does it pull all the way to the top and not hold?

So, is the plan to destroy this car, then buy a new one? The emergency brake in 850s is probably not the same as the Mustang. The 850s have a seperate drum brake for the e-brake, so it doesn't use the main rear brakes. You are probably just going to trash your e-brake setup doing this, if you haven't already.
My other car has 4 wheel disc, but uses a lever on the rear calipers to manual operate the rear brakes for the e-brake. Using that setup the slide probably wouldn't damage the brakes, although it isn't something I would do.

Get the haynes manual, it should help you fix it. Mine didnt snap or anything mine got pulled and stretched or something, so what i did was i released the ebrake, and on the rear brakes there is a sort of star nut thing, you can reach it with a screw driver, then all you do is click it up a few times. Anyway, c heck the haynes manual, if not im sure you can get it fixed for like 50 dollars
