Ok, i've been having an issue with a rattling/clunking noise coming from my passenger side tire area. It happens when going over bumps, tonite i noticed it happening more over slight bumps rather than pot hole type bumps(i need to replace my struts anyway so when i drive over bigger bumps it makes alot of noise and i cant hear the distinct clunk). I was wondering if there was a way to determine what the problem is without a professional(i'm guessing ball joint...possibly tie rod?) and how hard it would be to fix.
My second question is what kind of struts i should get, ive heard of a few kinds on this site, i would be content with the cheapest/most reliable struts out there, i dont need a huge amount of like, racing performance, i just want a smoother ride. And what parts of the suspension system/area should i replace when i do install new struts? everything or just the strut tower thing?
Third, how hard is it to replace the O2 sensor? After market o2 sensor and volvo o2 sensor, is there a huge difference in installation?
Thanks in advance
