Got a 98 S70 GLT, and time to replace the plugs again.
In the past I've gone to the local Volvo dealership and bought the plugs there (can't remember if they were copper or platinum), but they are expensive there, so I'm looking on-line.
Looking at the on-line volvo parts providers, I see some list copper plugs for that model, some list platinum plugs.
So, what do you use in that car, copper, or platinum (and, what is really the difference)?
Thanks

depends on what you want, what you have done to the car etc... If you just want a long lasting plug and the car isn't chipped etc..., I would go with the plats. If you have a chip and want a performance, go with the coppers. Just note that the coppers don't last long at all.

The car is stock, and I'm not an agressive driver (its my everyday commuter, doing about 35k miles a year).

$1.59 copper Bosch or Denso plugs work very well for 30,000 miles.

I agree with Greg and Gregg....go with plats...you're not modded, you drive alot, and I'm pretty sure you're non-turbo?

i believe '97 and later GLTs are LPTs.
anyway, i'd go with Platinum plugs as well. they should last you longer.

okay, LPT, but you're still not modded and running higher than stock boost, so yeah, Plats....multi-pronged plats of course...+3 or +4
