From what year of the V70's was the black 'eggcrate' grill standard spec?
There's on '01 that's been written off and parted out ... but it's 2 hours drive away, and I don't wanna drive for 4 hours to find out that it's the same grill as mine. Any ideas? Thanks

The XC's had them in 98 If I recall Correctly

Apparently the newer 03-04 XC will not fit according to the Volvo guys here. Only the C70 ... i dunno. I'll scout around tomorrow.

yup.. the new XC70 grille will not fit, but the 03-04 C70 grille will fit, brendan.

well, lets put it this way, ANY YEAR AFTER 2000, the eggcrate grille WILL NOT fit your car, UNLESS it's from an 03-04 C70.
