The ABS/Tracs lights are from the ABS module more than likely, fairly common failure. Options are to buy/replace the module and the other option is to send it out to Victor and he will rebuild the insides and make it better than New.
Your ECU problem is a problem. When you look up the part number for a 1996 ECU there are seven different numbers that show up, about half of them are for the 1995T5 R, the others aren't. If you didn't buy the car new, it's hard to say when the ECU got swapped. How did you do the IPD upgrade? Did you mail yours to them or did they send you one and then you sent yours in? Give them a call and let them know you are getting EGR codes and you don't have EGR they may be able to help.

Hi there, this topic regarding ECU had bring me to another question. Here in Taiwan, we have 850s equipped with 2.0 liter engines but different HPT and LPT setup. Some of my friends had removed their LPT ROM and solder copied HPT ROM on and worked fine. So, am I correct to say the differences between ECUs are the program in ROM only??
