Due to some recent issues the moderators have talked over a new code of conduct. We want all the forums to have a slightly more family oriented environment. The language used should be what you would want to say in front of a strangers 8 year old daughter. The moderators have been instructed to edit post that do not comply but not to delete them. We ask that acronyms such as WTF, BS, and so on be omitted whenever possible. In the interest of heated debate to be continued we will not be enforcing the above rules in the Political, and Off Topic forums. The rules WILL apply in member reviews and Racing. While chiming in is encouraged, we ask for no random comments. If you want to start a convo like that please do so in off topic and just reference the post you want. We feel these rules will make the site better in the topics will be more valuable when looking for information, and off topic will provide a place to kill time while waiting for answers to your questions.

sounds like a reasonable solution. i think the acronym thing is a little extreme, but if not using them keeps rich around i'm all for it.

I like this solution. It keeps OT truly OT and the content what it should be: clean and to the point.

In normal conversation do you ever get mad and say WTF? I mean if so you really have bigger problems. Like when you get drunk and are screaming out LOL

Sure, WuhTuhFfff sounds idiotic when you say it outloud (cue SNL skit), but it really has always driven me batty that benign acronyms such as 'i-i-r-c' are then spelled out by the filter. I know I know, it helps the uneducated drones understand the syntax, but it just bugs me and seems like a waste of time for someone to put that information into the filter in the first place.

I don't think a PG-rating will detract from VS.

Volvospeed is for adults, why would a 8year old be reading about volvos?

This is the only forum i know of that is this anal about everything. bimmerfreaks.com, maxima.org, bimmerforums, audiworld, clubarmada, nissanownergroup.com, titanforums, ws6owners.com ect ect are not like the volvospeed admins especially legend854t5r.

Verbage is a topic know? we need to keep this PG rated? Come on i know we want to be "GOD" but editing a post because someone was excited about seeing 3 nice yellow 850's? http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/index.php?showtopic=29519 on gattigang? just because he used the pooh word in a different way?

I wonder if Legned854t5r ever even met gattigang? this dude is one of the nicest, coolest guy i met in the volvo crowd. and he gets is hand slapped for typing a word that legend feels some kind of way about. the more i read things on this forum the more i see Legend854t5r is the one that should be stripped of the GOD status, uhh i mean admin status.

Matt never has been an admin. If your that offended you can click the back button a few time and I am sure that will fix your problem
