1995 850 GLT, Non-turbo automatic transmission. My engine light won't go off and is getting a speed sensor fault, fan fault and ECU fault. The real problem is my transmission indicator light (arrow) is blinking. I've fixed the fan problem and changed the speed sensor and transmission fluid temperature sensor. The mode selector switch started working again and the problem was fixed for about 5 minutes and then the arrow indicator light started blinking again. When in drive the transmission doesn't start in low gear, however it does when I manually shift to low. When driving at highway speed the transmission does not "lock-up" like is supposed to. I then changed the transmission ECU and it didn't do anything different. I tried to change the solenoid switches in the transmission, but the star bolts were to tight and I stripped the star grooves..so I need help on how to get them out if I need to change those controls? Drill the bolts out?
Thank you for your help.

I drive a 96 volvo 850 glt. Mine is doing the same thing. Speed sensor issues. Flashing light. If I may ask, did the speed sensor code go away after changing it? and which sensor did you change...the flywheel (works the Speedometer) or the other (2 could trigger the speed sensor). Pls let me know if you find the Trouble. Tks Paul

When the tranny light comes on it goes into limp home mode and starts in 3rd gear. How does your fluid look?
