I get that at home as well. All I can do is laugh at inexperienced PC users. I mean, how oblivious can you possibly be? When you connect, just be careful not to get caught. I heard some guy in Florida was fined $200k for invasion of privacy. laugh.gif
There's a few free public AP's in my area, so it's all good.

You don't have issues with the car shielding the signal? A remote antenna would be the best I would think. If you were close enough to the transmitter, like in the garage, it probably wouldn't matter.
Right now I'm using a craptastic first generation 802.11b adapter.... I pretty much just stick it out the sunroof when I need a better signal. Most of the time it's not necessary though. So if anyone sees a gold 93' 850GLT with some weird thing sticking out the sunroof, say hi wink.gif

84 244 - sold off
86 740turbo intercooler - the old man's daily driver, leaky roof, 16"s from junkyard
93 850GLT - carPC installed, still going strong
96 850wagon - snow tires + rain + highway + car in front = totalled
S60R - yes, please.

Make sure it sticks out stealthily so that nobody gets suspicious. Also, upgrade to an 802.11g - you'll get better connectivity.

Probably not necessary.... I use the wireless 99% only to update the mp3 collection, and even on 802.11b it's not unbearably slow since most updates are less than 100 megs total. I'd rather use the money to get some other new toys like the pair of 5000k bulbs I scored the other day wink.gif

Whats the system called? I would like to do some reasearch and look it up. It looks fantastic, and I bet you dont need a touchscreen to run it all.

Thanks smile.gif

I agree. Maybe the shifter is used as a mouse, though. Not sure why its so high - just know that it is very difficult to shift while sitting. laugh.gif
