98 V70 AWD with 100,000 miles. I have never changed the transmission fluid since obtaining the car with 60,000 miles. I have car at dealer and requested a complete transmission flush. Service manager advises that unless car has been regularly flushed, that I should only change the fluid, i.e. replace a few quarts from the drain pan. I would prefer the entire system flush, but don't want any problems if I do. Is this a Volvo recommended procedure for a car that has not been regularly flushed? Is there a service bulliten on this? Should I just go for the flush agaist the dealer recommendation?

TIA Steve

There are no guides. I'd say flush the entire transmission if the fluid is brown and oxidized. Drain and fill only gets 3 quarts out.
