but without bush we would have no direction.

So a wrong direction is better than no direction?

If I don't know what career I should get into, does that mean its better for me to start selling crack?

Exactly.

Start selling crack...then convince everyone that they need to buy the crack...because without the crack, their lives are in danger and their children could be killed by really bad people. After you make a bunch-o money and oh yeah!-o way to the top, you can then slide the good stuff to your buds who own companies that manufacture all sorts of crack. It'll be perfect! Once everyone is all hooked on your crack, then you can start movin' in on the other losers who are selling crack and take over their turf. Yeah...burn their houses down, kill their dogs, and drink their beer. Pretty soon...YOU will be the crack master running the entire hood. Wow...excellent logic. I never thought it would pay so much to be a blind lapdog.

Where's my feather boa? It's time to sell some crack!!!!!!!!

Let me back up here...I need to change my tone.

Think of it another way...would you randomly start modding your car without knowing what you're doing? Open the hood and just start doing stuff with no plan? (although many do)

If this not acceptable behavior for your car, then why is ok for a leader to do such things with a country? (all lame leaders included here, not just dorkball).

If this sort of careless behavior is for you car, then hey, go for it.

Shoot, maybe you could run for office, too.

if u only use the information that suites ur agenda, rather than all the information available, then sure, gw is doing a great job.

tell me why we went to war again?

oh, and uh for those who missed it, our pledge of allegiance did not include "under god" until mccarthy-ism took place. Newdow v. United States Congress. why is it that sometimes, separation of church and state seems to be forgotten? it's funny in gw's 2004 republican nomination acceptance speech that he mentions "the government should be trying to improve lives of the people, not run trying to run their lives".. well, gee, it appears idea of domestic partners is immoral and abortion is immoral to gw.. did u know domestic partners can be held liable for debt, conduct, and other items, yet, do not share the same benefitcs as do normal partners such as health care, tax shelters, etc... sounds like second class citizens to me..

and u the funny thing? why is politics such an alienating tool? why is it that politics is something u can't talk about, with fervor, and then at the end of the day call it a good debate and have a few beers and laugh it off and be friends still? why is it that politics becomes such a divisive force? it shouldn't be.. oh well..

QUOTE(Plan B @ Nov 30 2005, 07:33 PM)

Does anyone think he is doing a good job, or does anyone think he is a good president?

Despite negative biased press coverage the war on terrorism is going extremely well.

Millions of people were liberated from hostile terrorist regimes in Iraq and Afganistan.

Even France now admits we need to get the job done to secure that area.

Conservative elected to lead Germany and create a stronger tie to US.

Elimination of nuclear weapons from Libya.

Tax cuts were made to stimulate growth in the economy and actually RAISED TAX REVENUES.

The market is at a 4 1/2 year high and looking to go higher.

Inflation is low.

GDP growth at 4%+.

After suffering many natural disasters etc. the job market is strong, unemployment is very low.

Interest rates are still incredibly low.

Average hourly rates of pay have increased quite well.

Education levels are getting better.

Health care benefits are increasing.

Talks are the strongest in my lifetime of actually securing the borders.

Overall not a bad job.

but from a PR point of view, he's a disaster. As an outsider whose opinion on a country is greatly affected by the actions and utterances of its leaders, I almost feel that america is a bunch of illiterate bumbling idiots who totally "misoverestimate" their leader. Never mind the florida votes fiasco...

No I have nothing against americans... but this is the impression your president gives to foreigners *dons ceramic flameproof suit*

Oh and yes, I know thabo mbeki is a prat. KTHX.

Thank you starfish!

Why is it that stories like this aren't all over the 5pm news?

People who "get it" know why.

I am a conservative. I do not agree with everything GB is doing. I would have voted for a better guy in the last election, but my ballot didn't offer anyone better - so I voted the best I could.

If you believed everything J Kerry said, then you could have only agreed with him 50% of the time -

Cranky

ps. even some of my hard core, life long, Dem friends voted for Bush because there was no one else to vote for.

I agree with this. I am not a conservative. Kerry wasn't the best candiate the Democrats had. They made the mistake of going way to far in opposite direction of GW, and people don't react well to that. If they went a little middle of the road, Bush wouldn't be in office right now. I did vote for Kerry, but only because I think it is going to take many years (probably decades) for the country to recover from his spending.

If we're gonna do it, then let's do it.

Where shoudl I begin?

Trade deficits at an all time high; deficit spending at an all time high (so much for a fiscal "conservative"); personal liberties at an all time low thanks to the "Patriot Act"; old ladies and children are patted down in airports and train stations - I love the land of the free and the home of the brave; Inflation is low? How does one explain gas prices at 2x and heating prices at 50% higher and health care at double digit year over year increases. If that is your definition of low, then I'd hate to see your definition of medium or high. The only reason consumer prices continue to stay low is that all production is being sent to China as we build them into the most advanced industrial infrastructure in the world. Consumer, corporate, and government debt exceeds 60 trillion dollars. We are a bankrupt country and we're building up our enemies everywhere. Passage of CAFTA and laying the groundwork for FTAA to continue the bleeding of our jobs. I guess your idea of employment means being Wal-Mart greeters.

The largest expansion by the Federal Government since FDR's new deal - where's the "conservatism". Am I missing something? He has not used his veto pen in 5 years - he continues to read Dr Seuss when told of 9/11. He's a puppet with bad English.

Borders are only being talked about because Bush has been forced by such real Patriot Acts as the Minutemen...which he called vigilantes.

The Constitution was usurped by going to war without congressional declaration; no end in sight as we fight "monsters abroad" which John Quincy Adams warned us not to do. We continue to stir up a hornets nest and get upset when we get stung. America used to be the envy in a positive way of every other country, now we are the antagonist and the loathe of others who all want us to go down.

Bush was elected because he promised the Religious Right that he would defend marriage and life. He hasn't talked about either since the debates. He's doing all he can to get Hilary Clinton positioned for the #44. Christians and conservatives have had it with the Republicans who act like Socialists and Democrats who act like Marxists.
