Disco is far more managable off road. The range-rover is a city 4x4.

I drove a disco TD5 up into Mozambique, and it handled that great. (There are no roads in mozambique ... )

Maybe so, but very few buy a Range Rover in the US and actually take it off road.

I've seen a lot of Range Rovers on trails. Mostly the older ones, but I've seen them.

Yeah, I know maintaning it might be a pain but I'll smile every time I hop up into the driver seat. Besides, they become very affordable to buy b/c of their reputation. I'm not too worried.

Time to get a brush guard, Hellas, lift kit, larger wheels and tires. Yahooooo!

Sweet, I've been thinking about getting a second car for next winter. I've been looking at a 96 Range Rover, but an old Audi 90, 100 or V8 Quattro would cost much less.

good move on the extended warranty. wise choice. the vehicle looks nice and well taken care of. and yes they are quite cheap here in the states b/c of all the problems they've had and the # of dealers there are to fix them is very few. here in NW AR you have to take it to Tulsa (2 hrs) to get a dealer to work on it. there are a few folks that do but they are more expensive than the dealer. good luck with tyour purchase.

Sorry about the delay getting back to you. It's going good Eric. All the body work is done, including new rockers and cab corners, except the doors which I have on order. They are an easy bolt on,just swapping all the hardware.Looking at a 2 inch lift right now to go with the 3 inches I already have.I've been ordering a bunch of other parts for it as well and my office looks like a auto parts warehouse.I should be all ready for paint in the sping. smile.gif The only problem is I have it in the garage due to all the primer on the truck right now and my poor Corvette is car covered and tarped up in the driveway. It's the first time it's seen the elements in a very long time. sad.gif
