Well I took off to head to Auburn (bout an hour east of sacramento on friday) for New Years. I knew the heavy rain was going to be coming in to forestville, and had about 3.5 hours of complete downpour driving over there. When I got back yesterday 4 of the 5 roads leading to my house were flooded one of my friends couldnt get to their house and my other friend had to show his ID to get to his house as the river had flooded the road about 10 feet past his turnoff. I went out today and got some pictures, since yesterday the river has come down at least 5-8 feet. In all these picture the road I was taking the pictures from yesterday had water lapping onto it and was slightly flooded in places
This is a Canoing place

the road by my friends house, those orange cones are where you turn off to his house

Everything in the background is vineyards, and that road goes over a small creek about 50 yards behind where I am parked, yesterday that was up to the main road as well

more pics of the canoe place

this is a full building thats the highest from the river at that place

The truth comes out, there aren't THAT many boatlaunches in the northwest! The towns are just in a permanent state of flooding and those are all roads actually.........
