Yes, it's great that someone brings a product to a niche market ... that is unique. But what good does it do if you can't deliver it?

In my book, good business sense would be to come in here and try their best to address the issue at hand. I have alot more respect for businesses that will respond to good and bad. They typically are more honest, straightforward and all around better to deal with. People make mistakes, but not learning from them and repeating them isn't OK. COMMUNICATION IS KEY.
Terry is a smart guy, he knows alot. Unfortunately their business is in trouble because it needs some management work and it needs improved communications, and I don't agree with some of their decisions. They can still save it, but they need to start coming clean on EVERYTHING. If theres a delay, SAY SO.
LITTLE THINGS COUNT. Like the 2nd day shipping instead of ground, or telling people as soon as the order comes in before they're charged that a part isn't in stock/is backordered and offer to refund them, anything ilke that. Sure there engines are nice, but not if they take 4x longer than expected to be completed and you never have any idea whats going on with it.
I'm currently having a head built in Sweden by Erland Cox. He's on eof the best guys I've worked with in this sort of deal. He and I have exchanged dozens and dozens of emails about every little spec, every little price, every bit of availability information, and every detail there is. Thats how you deal wiht a customer.

I must say that as far as Greg goes that you know what the deal was with the downpipe and that you have never been a customer of VMS
Appololigies to you all.

Difficuties in moves and process/production changes is understandable with growth, although this seems to be the reply VMS has been giving for several months now. Even at that, what about the communication and customer service? There really isn't any excuse in not responding to customers or keeping them consistently updated on the status of their order, no matter what the causing issue may be. You have people supposedly working for you (i.e. Aaron - 850drag) that can easily be handling this for you. Aaron has had no problem coming onto VS (even prior to working for VMS) and telling everyone what he was doing to get products out and when they would be available. So why no customer service? There really is no good excuse or reasoning to a lack of customer service or communication in a business.
Also, charging customer's credit cards for products that aren't available when it is presented to them that they are, is just bad business and in some states illegal. If a production product is found not to available after the order has been placed, then it becomes a backorder item and no credit card charge should be made until you can ship that product. I can understand charging a card a deposit for products that are custom or special order, if the customer is made aware of that scenerio. This doesn't seem to be the case in the complaints on this board.

Wow, same excuses and dishonest. Extremely bad business and now no creditbiliy. Extremely small market of people you trying work with to be pulling this crap. However, I am sure your bread and butter is not VMS or just making Volvo components.

I have lost my second brother to cancer last week.
As far as customer service well that is why we have a toll free number to call.
I am not personally very active on any forums and have very little time to spend on them.

He lost a second brother.
You guys need to back off him, he's having a rough time and he's doing the best he can.
And stickying this thread is an immature and personal action by a certain "administrator."
