Doug got the spacers the other day for my car and delrin bushings for my a-arms.

old nasty bushings

new ones installed

The bushings finally solved my clunking and pulling issues in the front end. Doug and I were both concerned there were more issues but seems good. He also put in a set of Hawk (something?) pads. Doug seemed very impressed with the bushings

:-D I really like it

Mine too. Last week I went looking for it and found it in a dark alley snorting coke off a hooker's back.

I only let him drive it a few miles. I love them though! They started squealing though, hopefully they'll stop after a week or so. Its kinda funny though because if I hit them right I can make them squeal just right and it pisses off doug, or any other passengers... my main goal in life is to be a pest!!!

laugh.gif laugh.gif I can do the same thing! Mine only squeal on the right side, left it quiet for some reason. Also, it only happens when they are cold and wet. Once they warm up or it is dry out, they are quiet again.

I thought the 16mm spacers were going to give you more room there? That looks like the same space or slightly less than what I have.

Could be a subtle difference between OEM and Aftermarket Volans?

there is a little more space on mine. i remember examining yours in santa cruz, and i didn't want to have such a tight fit. luckily ben was able to help with those.

the install wasn't too bad... while doug was working on it, i was putting my volans back on the rears. the hardest part was getting the original bushings out of the a-arms that was the only thing i had to help with. we ended up braking his crappy vise in the process. my only complaint is the stupid ball joints are messed up and we have to do the whole thing over again in a few weeks.

Well, since I have both and ran both on the car, no. They are the same, so the gap was the same for me.

Difficult to tell from that photo then. Measure it with a feeler gauge like I did. smile.gif

It's never gonna stop, ever. Try greasing the backs of the pads. Porsche also has pads to put on the pistons to help with problem, but from what I've read on rennlist, they're a waste of money. Best solution for me so far has been to spray the rotors and calipers with water for a few minutes every other day. You'll notice that they don't squeal when it's raining.. wink.gif
