We leased our 2001 Platinum Green V70 2.4 from Auto Show Volvo and were happy with the sale. However, shortly after delivery, Auto Show was bought out by Tasca. The salesman we were dealing with ended up leaving the dealership and getting the car serviced became a hassle.

Auto Show had always given Volvos as loaners when service was being performed. Tasca, on the other hand, made a deal with Enterprise rent-a-car, and would only pay for an economy car. The first time we got a Ford Focus, let me tell you, driving on the highway in that car was FRIGHTENING! After an angry call to the dealership and a bad report to Volvo NA we were promised a larger, more acceptable car. The next time the car was due for service we were given the run-around by the enterprise rep at the dealership and ended up having to talk to the manager just to get a midsize car as a loaner. We were given a Nissan Altima, not as bad as the focus, but we certainly didn't get a $40K car to be given a $20K as a loaner.

Aside from the loaner-car issues we also had reservations about the service staff at Tasca. There was a noticeable forward - back motion in the drivers seat and after TWO trips to the dealer, they "could not replicate the problem" and basically tried to tell me i was wrong, that there was nothing wrong with the seat. There were other issues with their service too, but basically no one in my family got a good feeling when we brought the car in. As the lease was almost up and we were looking to buyout the car, we looked for another dealer as well. We ended up at Steingold Volvo and are MUCH happier now!

In Short: Stay away from Tasca Volvo, their bottom line means a lot more than your satisfaction.

First of all, I work for Tasca Volvo in service. When it was autoshow, enterprise rentals were there, 90% of the service staff is still there. We were #1 not only in customer satifaction for service but #1 in total sales for 2005 in our district. When you do the volume that we do it's tough to make everyone happy. If you have a problem that persists go for a ride with the forman, it's that easy. I have never worked for a dealer that does so much for the customer.

we get our cars serviced at Tasca regularly. i like how they are open until midnight during the week. it is really helpful when i need a part late at night or need to have minor service done. i must say i really do enjoy the daytime staff in the service center MUCH more then the night time staff but it's not bad enough to make me go elsewhere. The parts department at Tasca is great too. Most of the staff is very helpful in that department as well. I am satisfied with Tasca but I do miss Auto Show. I don't get the same feeling with Tasca as I do with Autoshow. The guys who have remained with Tasca from the old Autoshow are great. The new guys aren't as good. If all the veterans left I would leave too.

Steingold is ok but they wouldn't even work on my 97 R because its "too old" for them. The guys that work there are good though and its not there fault that they can't work on older models.

No complains with Tasca. They work awesome hours (late nights and weekends) when other local dealerships are out the door at 4pm and forget weekends. This comes in handy all the time when you're working on your own vehicles and realize halfway into the job you need something to complete it.
Very friendly customer service starting with the receptionists on up to the service reps who are quite willing to answer questions instead of telling you to bring it in for a minimal fee. They're even willing to let me speak to their shop foreman often when I have a technical question they can't answer. THAT is customer service. Again, working on my own vehicles the majority of the time, the shop foremans vehicle specific knowledge and experience with common issues is priceless. The parts department is very friendly and eager to assist. More than once they've faxed me exploded views of parts diagrams so I could see what was needed exactly. Other dealerships refuse to do so. They have most parts in-stock, and also usually get ordered parts in within a day or two when other local dealerships take a week.
Trying to make the customer happy, not just out to make a buck..or in dealer cases THOUSANDS. I drive an hour away to get to Tasca when there's a local dealership less than 5minutes away from my work. The local dealer is BARRYS and they're the worst I've ever dealt with.
