My 96 850glt CEL came on the other day while driving. I pulled the Codes from the ODBII and came up with 133 poor response with the o2 sensor. Does this sensor cause poor acceleration? Also about two days before this I refilled my coolant, and accidentally did not put a 50/50 mixture in it. (about 75/25) Is this really bad for the engine, and would it cause damage that would cause such poor acceleration? At WOT at 65mph, the car will not accelerate in 2nd, and 0-60 takes about 15 seconds. Help Please, before I possibly ruin my car even more.

man, that code just means one of your O2 sensors is bad, your coolant mixture is nothing to worry about for now...and a bad O2 can make your car run slow, like crap, or not at all

Replace both O2 sensors. The ECU will cut boost and stuff if it gets certain codes. This is one of those codes I think.

They are not the same sensor........Go to this site FCPgroton.com.......you can find the right part # there............get the part # then do a search on Yahoo for a while and you can get them cheaper if you want to save money...

Yea after a little research I found that out
) Bay 13 FTW!!!
Front Black connectors, Rear Gray connector. So I disconnected both sensors and the car starts and idles smooth, so does this mean my sensors have really gone? My car ran smooth after the CEL went on..

I called Bosch, the Bosch Support guy said that the front and rear O2 sensor are interchangable. I know James said they are not the same sensor but Bosch said they are. I replaced my forward sensor with a bosch 15736 becuase I was getting a forward O2 sensor slow to respond. Since I pass inspection, and they measure the output of the cat I figured that the cat was operating within specs. My problem didn't go way after that. Every 500 miles I get an error code 212 and 436. It means the forward O2 sensor is absent of faulty, and the rear O2 sensor is overcompensating.
Someone on this board said maybe it is getting moisture, so I RTV'ed the hell out our of it. Still every 500 to 600 miles the signal is missing. So today I replaced the connector that it came with Butt connectors and Heat shrink. I will let you guys know if it continues. My next step is replace both front and back O2 sensors with OEM replacements. It would have been worth the exta 75 bucks. Do it Right the first time and put these things to bed

Wire lengths are different.....15097 works on the front....15062 is back on a '94 850 Turbo. Thats what FCPgroton.com says and it works.....Recheck what your part # is suppose to be at fcpgroton.com....... prices are posted on another thread on what some members found them for.....One person got it for $95 here autohausaz.com under emmisions.....If your car called for 15097 you should of put it in and maybe you would be OK now.....

You can also get a genuine part from myswedishparts.com for about the same money as from FCP. On O2 sensors I always like to go with the OEM part.
To "96 850 GLT"; disconnecting the O2 sensors will make the ECU assume a "default" O2 setting which is why your car ran better with it disconnected.

I guess the default setting is a little better but still acceleration is still poor.
