Hello all,

i've been having a bad smell in the comaprtment after The car get into operating temperatur and especialy when i drive the car hard. my guess is that it's the smell of vaporized oil. i'm loosing oil also about 1liter/1500Km.
this is a N/A car so no turbo leak . i see oil on the top of the engine near the oil cap but not a pool just oil residue. i've changed the oil cap rubber ring but no improvement.
i have also higher than usual fuel consumption i noticed that after cleaning my fuel injectors.

One of your fixes is = you need a new oil fill cap($12 at dealer)..Just the gasket alone does not fix the problem .

I would look under the car for oil leaks and clean as much off as you can with rags as a start....

You might want to look into getting Rhino Ramps if you are going to be going under the car alot...They are low cut....$20 to $30 in U.S.

Lebanon? wow, that could make things difficult to find!

get under the car, and see if you see any oil seeping out underneath.

could be a blown RMS, or check if the oil is coming from the front or back of the block, on top of the engine. cam seals can leak too.

That's a sign that your PCV system isn't functioning. You definitely need to get that addressed before (hopefully it didn't already happen) your rear main seal (rms) lets go. It could be a simple vacuum line to the pcv system that's shot. I don't have a link on hand but I'm sure you'll find a lot if you search this forum for pcv system. In my case, I was lucky that the pcv was fine but it was just a vacuum line that connects to it that was broken. If you fix the pcv system, there shouldn't be smoke coming out the dipstick tube anymore.

And don't worry about the oil cap if you haven't bought one yet. If you fix the pcv, it won't be blowing oil up there that much so it shouldn't go out the cap anymore
