If so, it will most likely be at the lowest large hose that has a 90degree bend to it, coming out of the bottom of the intercooler on the driver's side. Take the plastic air Darn off with a 10mm screw on each side and you'll be able to see it. If you don't see some oil seaping here that's a good sign. If you take it loose, this will be the dirtiest part of the IC piping. I tend to take mine loose and clean it several times a year.

I noticed oil around the IC pipe as it connects to the turbo, any idea what that means?

dude, are you seriously asking this question?

there is no definitive answer. too many factors to just give it a number! it's like asking what your lifespan will be....i mean, you have to know your diet, exercise habits, genetics, stress level, type of work you do, health conditions, medications your on, etc. You can't just say that everyone's heart has a life span of 75 years. you can't even approximate it!

1 qt. per 1000k is good. 15-1700k per qt. is excellent.
There is a "pre-pump" for lube still on market-$300+.
"After run" pump is an aux. water pump to circulate coolant-Audi,etc.

I have a 1994 854 Turbo with 231,000 km's and I have always taken good care of it. I only took it off dealer service in 2005, and now to an expert Euro mechanic and Tuner. PLEASE NOTE: I have zero knowledge of car repair.

Recently during acceleration I hear a whistling noise coming from my engine. Is it the Turbo, or something else? If it is the Turbo, is it failing? I've read other posts where members talk about losing a quart of out every 1000 km through their turbo etc etc. But I never lose any oil, and I only use synthetic. My oil level stays full right up until its time to change it. Maybe a bit sludgy but otherwise full.

I had a Turbo Service 3 years ago, when they cleaned all the gunk out and I'm wondering if its that time again. A bit worried as I don't have the $$ for a new Turbo.

Thanks!
