After seeing Torquesteer intercooler top blow off and all the oil residue in the cooler I decided to flush it out.I am not sure how much the oil retains heat from getting out of the cooler but for an hours worth of work what the heck.I did get some nice and black stuff out of the cooler and kept flushing till all clear.

Okay guys...I'm very interested in doing this...mine is attached to the radiator...so, how is the best way to flush it without taking it off of the car? Do you plug the bottom and fill 'er up...let 'er sit and then pull the plug....repeats, etc.?

sure.. but i think this would be a band aid solution.. as the stock IC has a weep hole for residual oil to escape..

so the real solution for excessive Oil blow by would be a turbo swap/repair

I did this because my 13g on the car before was oiling up the system but I never relly thought about it until Torquesteer showed pictures of his top blown off laugh.gif . Since I have the 16t on it can't hurt and the oil has to be doing some heat retention. I left the incooler on the car took the top and bottom hose off. I used a oil funnel with a hose on the end to get the mineral sprits all the way inside th cooler from the top and in the corners and just move it around on all 9 passes. After eveything was done I used my shop vac and put it in the top hose and ran it for 15 minutes to dy it out. Since I am only boosting in the 13/14 psi range I would think the stock would be fine.

I see no weep hole in mine. Where would it be? I just hate to think I may be in for a turbo swap...it spools up fine and I have really no issue, except for the lower 90degree hose gets pretty cruddy after a few weeks and I tend to be cleaning it out pretty often. Not much oil at all makes it up to the throttle body. Is it possible that I don't have a weep hole in mine?
