My 850 (non-turbo) has "sprung a leak" behind the distributor. I can start the motor and see it actually leaking, dripping. I JUST (50 miles ago!) replaced the cap, since it caused many other problems and codes. The cap has a lot of oil in it already! PLEASE help. I can't find this part talked about or listed anywhere. My factory manual won't be here for a few weeks (JUST retired from the military). I really need to get this part and get it fixed ASAP. No dealer anywhere near, so where to buy it or part number would be great! I am going out tonight to pull the distributor and see? Thanks in advance.

All you need to do replace is the Distributor o ring. Simple as that. On my 850 turbo there was slight seepage on mine when I replaced the cap. I just left it for now, not causing any harm. I think the volvo part # for that seal is 9443310. Not sure what is entailed in reaplacing that seal.

Well, it fell out, was the camshaft seal, and I will go in search of it tomorrow??? Wish me luck. Ruined the new cap, caused problems two weeks ago when it (the oil leak) caused several CEL codes, RUINED the Cat converter (too much fuel to it, burned it out) and ruined a fairly new cap and rotor, now cap #2...ALL THIS FOR A SMALL SEAL.......BAD DESIGN defect if I do say so myself. Oh well, Victor should be good soon. Thanks to all. Brad

Easy to replace, and read what happened when mine went all the way bad.........It's worth it to me. Brad
