Seems like a pretty simple problem that i cant seem to figure out. When i go to spray my wipers i dont get any fluid coming out of the hood jets. There is plenty of fluid in the resevoir, the rear and headlight jets work and from what i can tell there is nothing blocking the exit of the hood jets. I checked the lines and they are all connected so really now i'm lost. Any ideas on what else to check in order to get my windsheald jets working again?
Any help is appreciated.

This is almost always caused by blockage in the little T valve mounted on the underside of the hood, possibly out of sight under the insulating pad. The hose from pump runs up to teh hood near teh washer jets, adn then there is a T valve that splits the hose into two hose, one for each jet. These are check valves and clog over time. Not worth trying to clear, just replace - about two minutes. While you are at it, you might also swap teh nozzles for teh new style (post '99) that put out a wide spray pattern versus the single stream of the old. A huge improvement if you are in a bad weather area. They just plug into the same holes in hood and into teh same hoses, although some parts conter guys don't seem to realize it.

Yes, that t-connection is located between the hood and the hoods pad. There is a rubber gasket/seal inside it that wore out, actually broke into two pieces, the inside piece is blocking the entrance of fluid into hoses going to jets. I fixed mine by cutting a small gasket/seal out of rubber glove

I have a similar problem, except with the headlight washers. Is there a check valve somewhere for that? I can see that there is an inline filter for the washer jets too - do those clog up and cause problems?

yes there is a check valve for the h/l wipers too. about the inline filter, not too sure.

The check valve for the headlight washers is burried behind/under the right side headlight unit. On the 850, you can eventually get it by removing the wiper arms and the trim piece below headlight, but very tight. It is easier to just pull the whole headlight unit (four bolts from inside the engine bay) and then have an easy time to just pull hoses off old valve and swap it. Lights don't need to be realigned - adjustments don't get messed up. All up, should take less than 30 minutes.

Another way is to disconnect the wiper arm washer hose and pull the check valve out just enough to do the swap that the hose doesn't disappear into the hole.
