so my upper engine mount(?) bit the dust sometime in the past week. The entire thing just ripped off of the firewall half. here's a pic:



i think it's called an Upper Rear Engine Torque Rod, but FCP Groton doesn't have a picture of it. I just need someone with the volvo parts program to gimmie the okay so i can order this thing, along iwth a IPD replacement bushing.

k, thanks. Not sure how this happened, but i guess the sound i've been hearing under WOT is my exhaust banging against the bottom of the car.

I would check your other mounts also especially the one lower by the pass side tire....They all break there

i had my entire subframe replaced with all new mounts a few months ago the car was driving great until this happened.

i would still check those mounts....something like that doesn't happen by accident....there's something else making the engine move enough to put stress on that mount...i suspect a lower mount is shot.
