No problem. Really a question of how much your trailer plus equipment will weigh. The 850 has a towing limit of about 3,300 pounds, if trailer has brakes, and I believe 1,100 pounds without brakes. for lighter loads, you should be fine with an after market hitch such as U-haul, Drawtight, etc. They all look pretty much the same, and install into pre drilled holes that Volvo puts in all of its cars. No special tools or skill needed, but a set of ramps or jack stands to get teh rear up a little give you more room to move around under the rear end. I think it took me about 30 minutes the last time I put one of these on (only three bolts, and nothing else to do). If you are pulling more to the higher end of load range, I much prefer teh Volvo factory hitch. It is much more substantial, and is secured with a total of 16 separate bolts, all again into pre-drilled holes. It also is a DIY job, but takes longer due to the number of bolts and the need to access a couple ofo teh holes from inside teh trunk. Wiring kits can be after market of Volvo also, and no big deal to wire into car.

Used hitches, particularly the after market ones, are often on Ebay, usually under $100. Volvo is more rare, and more expensive ($150+?).
