The majority of the rattling coming from my cargo area in my wagon seems to be coming from the two floor boards that cover the tirewell. Is there anything I can do to dampen the noise they make? I locked them but that only caused a slight improvement. When I bang on them it sounds hollow.

If you do a search, rattles in the wagons have been talked about quite extensively but here are a few things you want to check out. Make sure that the clips on the 2 floor boards are not damaged. Lock the spare tire cover. Make sure that the tailgate panels (both upper and lower) are not damaged. They are notorious for not holding clips in place. If that is the case there is a repair kit you can purchase. Check the trim pieces that go along the top and back side of the rear windows (closest to the hatch) in your cargo area. If some of those clips are broken it can make it sound like they coming from the floor board. Also take some duct tape and put some around the strikers for the latches on the rear seats and rear door. That will help prevent those from rattling and or squeaking. Hope this helps
