Does anyone else out there know where I can find the SAS valve for my 1997 850 GLT? I have that distinctive screaming noise when the emissions unit kick in whenever I start my car. I'm familiar with the following VS site: (http://volvospeed.co...ir/airpump1.php) but it does not appear to be my car. I'm dying since the price to replace all the related parts is $700!
I would also apprecate any ideas or suggestions to find a used pump. I'm also familar with the following site (http://www.matthewsv...acement_850.php) to swap a VW pump in place of the Volvo, but I can't find this part either.
Help!

Not all cars have an air pump. If you have one, it should be very easy to see the sas valve... sitting just above the turbocharger.

Thanks so much! I did not expect to find it there. People like you make this forum so worth while. Now all I need to do is find some cheap parts.

If the car does NOT have a turbocharger, will it have an airpump?
I cannot seem to laocate it on my naturally aspirated 1996 850.
Also, does this apply to the v70 cars, particularly th 99 AWD V70R?
Bay 13 does not seem clear on that point, and the diagram/pics are different from the V70R.
Of is it only the .98 models and prior.
I have ETM on the '99 if that matters...
Thanks
