Right now I have deleted my A/C compressor and am running Volvo's belt for those without A/C (I'm not sure why they made these, since I thought all 850's had A/C). Regardless, I'm going to be adding a second alternator where the A/C compressor used to reside.
My question is, what size belt should I be running, assuming that both alt wheels are the same as the stock size? The wheels are actually slightly smaller than stock, to cause the alts to spin faster at idle. I believe that the size difference is made up for by adjusting the belt's tention. At least, that's how it works now.
Alternatively, would it be better or worse to run a single wheel for both alternators?

I had to register my basement as an NFA item.

Talk about service!
Thanks.
Thanks.
Brett took out his AC condenser/pump/unit/whatever for his IC install, so i know he knows what the correct belt to run is...

Volvo makes a belt for people who don't have the AC condenser (I forget PN). That's what I'm using now. I'll need a larger one to fit a second alternator, though.
