Put some duct tape on the sensor's tip and your Check Engine Light should dissappear.

I must stress that it's just a theory. Ideally, you could clean your O2 sensor every once in a while, but I'd imagine that would only mess it up and necessitate replacement. I learned that trying to clean an Air Mass Meter... those puppies are sensitive to everything but a clean air filter.

Can we all at least verify that nobody has seen it on their car before their perspective performance chips were installed? I know for a fact I didn't see it until then. At first, I thought it was tripping from misfires. That's why I replaced my ignition lineup. It fixed the misfires, but the O2 sensor kept tripping off...

So, first off, let me say, I bought the car with the chip and I didn't have O2 sensor codes ever.

2nd, I drove 150 miles to Philly yesterday and the light didn't come on once (and I made great gas mileage ~23mpg (UNHEARD OF in my car))...then I get it my car to drive home, and as I'm getting on the freeway, the stupid little CEL comes on...so WTF gives? Why is the light coming on now? After I drove 150 miles.

Let me reiterate the facts.
BRAND New OEM Bosch sensor with around 400-500 miles on it now
Replaced a spliced Bosch Universal Spliced O2 sensor because I thought it had gone bad
Both O2 sensors throw a slow-to-respond code (P0133)
I cleared the code via OBDII and disconnected the battery for more than 12 hours

So what else could it be? I mean, why would the rear O2 sensor be bad if its throwing a front code? What else should I try to replace? Wiring harness?

I agree 100% Andy! Samething happened too me. I was running a 96 850R Upsolute Chip for awhile in the yellow and then I switched over to a custom EST ecu that was chipped but I still get the light to come on every few weeks. It always comes on after I'm driving hard for awhile and come to a stop and starting idling. I was debating replacing my o2 sensors but considering that this is happening to people who put brand new sensors in...I don't know what to do.

Of course I'm kidding, if you had read it a little more carefully. I posed it as a suggestion that wasn't a true solution, since even attempting to clean it would monkey it up worse than the carbon build-up.

I just went through 2 sensors and 1000 dollars later I realized it was a very common vacuum line. Gimme a call if you need clarification or location of hose.

which vacuum line? All mine are silicon and pretty fresh...which one are you talking about? And you specifically got a Slow-To-Respond code?

I think I'm just going to put a piece of electric tape over hte light....tired of this BS

ok guys,

may be my english is way off, but I don't get it!
here is what a new guy wrote to me

When you are standing in front of the car, look at the left side of the intake just behind the power steering reservoir. Right on the upper forward most part of the left side there should be a 1/4 inch rubber elbow coming off and on a 90 degree elbow going back. Take a flashlight out there and see if its broken.

Charles said to disconnect the battery, and I did, so we'll see if that fixes it, however, I'm just wondering if anything else can cause a brand new OEM O2 sensor to throw a slow-to-respond (P0133) code.

Check your connections- corrosion. Clean w/electrical cleaner and clean wire brush.

well I just cleaned up all the electrical connections I could find and realized that the electical connector on the PCV valve was disconnected, so I cleaned that up and reconnected it...battery is disconnected but hopefully this solves my problems...I'll report back if it doesn't.

update #2: I reconnected the battery and drove around my neighborhood letting it warm up...

the OBD-2 software says: Fuel System 1 and 2 Status is System 1 closed loop but fault with at least one oxygen sensor - may be using single oxygen sensor for fuel control

This is immediate after coming out of OL (open loop)

No CEL yet but I have a feeling its going to come on as it always took one keystart to come back on, I'll keep everyone posted

update #3: *crosses fingers* I guess that was it...no CEL on 3 starts...and I drove like 15-20 miles to school...
