Hi everybody,

I'm about to replace my serp belt, serp tensioner and idler roller.

Anybody have any tips or tricks they can give me to make this go smoothly?

I was tempted to use the Vise-grip and quarter trick but I decided I'd pay the $30 and buy the IPD tool which I hope will make the job pretty easy.

Also, if you know the torque specs for the tensioner and idler bolts I'd sure appreciate it!

Thanks.

I used a 12mm crows foot(Sears) on a 3/8 torque wrench to get off the idler bolt...There is not much room there...

Thanks. I don't have crows foot wrenches. I was planning on using my sockets, would that work? Maybe a stubby open end wrench if I can get enough torque on it?

If it's worth picking up the crows foot wrenches I gues I can do that. Harbor freight is right up the road...
