Well, after a long wait, i finally got around to finishing steve s's 850 wagon.

here are some simple goals:

1. completely hidden stealth install

2. no trunk space used at all

3. superb sound quality

4. avic-d2 in the dash

5. most importantly, to still have the full size spare in place and removable when needed smile.gif

so lets start from the front:

replaced his stock batt with optima battery and knukonceptz termainsl...

moving onto the front stage...

again, sweat, blood and tears got the avic-d2 into the dash with a pretty clean look smile.gif the notches on the side of the opening is from whe nthe bastard theives broke in before...

DLS ultimate UR6s components sit in kick panles. they of course, sound SUPERB!

the main attraction is obviously in the rear...

here is what it looks like with everything patched up, with a stock cargo mat over this, it can all be completley hidden smile.gif completely usable

and here is what it looks like with the covers off smile.gif

two xtant titanium limited edition amps power the system, chosen for thier low profile. one sends over 300 watts to the sub, the other 200 each side upfront smile.gif the xovers are show as well.

the sub box is unique. the floor of hte spare tire well is raised 2.5" to gain air space, then the enclousre is a tube of sorts that rises from the floor, total air space is about .75 cub feet, good for an image dynamics 12.

the full size volan spare sits ontop of the his and acts almost as a grille for hte sub smile.gif when needed, the spare can be removed with out touch any other part of the system. smile.gif

overall, it sound fantastic...sounds a bit like my own car, except he midbass isnt quite as strong of course, but hte bass section is louder, and the car has less rattles.

goal achieved smile.gif

oh and look whats in my garage now biggrin.gif

Wicked nice work with the sub install, Bing. I like it.

Wow Bing, that is truly awesome!

Do you have a pic of the sub "enclosure?"

Would you say this idea could be easily transferred to a sedan?

wooo KnuKonceptz!
