hi ya'll

so I finally got a new ecu and the car started without a hic-up....but my valvetrain is very noisy. are there any adjustments you can do to quiet it down? I delt with a lot of honda valve adjustments...but this valvetrain noise is way too noisy to be normal.

any help would be appreaciated!

Could be the oil pan o-rings are old and the pickup is not getting enough oil to the top end. Try some top end lubricant (e.g. Marvel Oil).

I wouldn't go the Marvel Mystery oil treatment myself. AutoRx is the way to go.

I'm about 200 miles into my first auto r-x treatment and all i can say is wow. my car was running fine when i started the tx so i haven't noticed any performance differences. what i have noticed is how much cleaner the cam is already. i took a before pic looking into the oil fill and there were the regular burnt streaks around my lobes and those are completely gone already. the camshaft itself is looking cleaner as well. i can only imagine what it's doing in the spots i can't see. i'll give it a few more hundred miles and post the before/after pics.

I agree that auto-rx is good stuff, but marvel and auto-rx are totally different products and are menat to do different things. One cleans really well, the other lubricates really well. i think marvel is a good idea, lucas may be better...both are band-aid fixes but will work.
