I'm installing brembo rotors front and back and was thinking about loosing the lame rear rotor shield. I know it has to be done usually when upgrading to a BBK so it can't be that bad, right???

Any problems with it gone?

I take the "0 replies" as a no, it won't have any adverse effects. Off it comes in 10 minutes!

How much do those weigh? Every bit counts on rotating mass.....

They weigh less than a lb each. I decided against removing the rears, too much work I didn't feel like getting into. It's not a matter of just removing a bolt or three like the front (which I did remove).
