So my compression is off and the car is leaking oil.

BUT, one thing has had me thinking lately.
WHY does the car run so shitty and smoke like a SOB in city traffic when it runns great on the highway? Like I said earlier, I drove all the way from Texas without loosing any oil of significant amount and the car ran good. But then as soon as I hit traffic and have to slow down or stop car's staring to run shitty again and smoke ppl out. If anybody could answer this I'd be happy
