Hi,
I have a 96 850 with the 5 spoke wheels. I keep getting a flat on one tire. I had the tire checked. I had the valve replaced. I had the bead sealant pu on. The tire still leaks. has anyone had a problem with leaking rims? can the rim itself leak? Any othe r ideas. It is a slow leak that wont flatten the tire completely. What else can i look for.
Thanks
Flat Tire

More than likely if you have already replaced the tire there is a hairline fracture in the rim, they sometimes can be microscopic and hard to see with the naked eye, usually occuring somewhere near the spokes and rim. Just buy a new rim for ~$100 and be done with it.

you have the glt? you might be able to look in the fs section or post in the wtb section and get some responses. the rim is probably not bent right? since i'd imagine the mechanic would have told you. so probably hairline indeed. You can always try the soapy water method and see if you see any bubbles anywhere

dawes mbc @ 12-15psi depending on climate (Darn cutout)
dirty k+n cone + kevin's old ghettorigged heatshield (need to move onto slater's "ghetto" style setup)
bfg trac t/a 205/50/16s (pretty decent for a standard tire but they're no toyo)

Tons of rims on ebay.
Have you soaped the whole thing up, rim and all? If there is a leak, you should be able to find it.
