R bumper w/new upper piece
new rear bumper
new side trim
Silver Jewel Headlights and corners
IPD Mesh grille
New LH Fender

all the bumpers and trim will be professionally painted to match the car, so no more grey trim for me biggrin.gif I havn't been posting any major stuff cuz i've been busy collecting... i also installed a new upper torque mount with an IPD Bushing, i'm sure you remember what happend to my old one laugh.gif

$5 says they do the cam gear seals, and charge him $10/seal plus labor. I think it's BS people charge to "inspect." If they made it free, people would say "Okay, replace it!" and they'll make money doing actual work. Oh well.

That sucks dude, I'd imagine all the stuff your parents "ordered" is being paid for by you!

The good news is you'll have a nice foundation to mod the car on, albeit a smaller wallet to do so with.

probably the combination of my bushing being rock-solid and that specific mount is made out of junk jerk metal. I had to push my old bushing out with an air chisel, it was no longer squishy.

F-U-C-K

The most rediculous thing I've ever heard, next to Mercedes service job.

Here are the things you can easily do even if you're Joe below-average shade tree mechanic:

Inspect exterior lighting Duh
Inspect wiper washers and top off fluid Duh
Clean and Lube antenna What antenna?
Lube Hinges Doors and Hood Duh
Inspect brake fluid Duh

inspect and adjust tire pressures Duh
inspect PS fluid Duh
Inspect Coolant Level and Quality
Battery Check Level and Mounting and Connections
Lube Drive Belt Tensioner
Lube, oil and filter Duh
Replace fuel filter Why not
Replace Spark Plugs Why not
Drive Shaft Joints check and Boots What do they check for besides the boots? The CV joins, a lot of times, tend to make terrible nose even before you can detect any play

I gotts ta know! What is the price break down? Where are they charging you the big bucks? I gotts ta know!

For that price, I hope they're doing the suspension work as well. dry.gif
And maybe a wash, a wax job, a b-job, and throw in a beaver too mad.gif laugh.gif tongue.gif

Darn! NO...That's Darn! OK...D_A_M_N!

I apologize for the delay in response. The place is Progressive Automotive, and just so we're all clear. I am in NO way putting their quality of work down. I have no complaint with the quality just the prices ohmy.gif I just got the car back today, and believe me it pulls amazingly. They told me they didn't put the OEM cat in so blink.gif I was suprised to say the least (still don't know what cat was put in) The car definately has alot more power than it did even when it was in good running shape. As for the oil leaks. I myself replaced the oil filler cap (gasket gone) and I plan on having a friend of mine who is a mechanic doing the job on the side. The total cost of fixing the oil leak was $616.00 dollars but the parts for the cam gear seals are like $30.00 on fcp so i'm going with the cheaper route for once laugh.gif

Sorry to all the people who are still trying to get their money back.

I heard one about a guy that paid out the arse for custom MTE tuning, an 18T and a new intercooler, and still only ran 15.00 in the 1/4 mile...

moment of silence, once more.

Go buy JDM catalytic, it will add about 15 hp at least, because of the modern design
