i think i read somewhere (here or turbobricks) that removing the hood insulation wasn't bad for your paint, and if you removed it you would be able to hear more sound from the engine bay, like the turbo.
so i remove yesterday and today i noticed that the engine heat melted a little soft piece of rubber that supported the windshield washer's little hoses, no big deal, i removed that melted little piece and now the hoses just kind of hang there but it's only like a 2 inch hang
am i going to have problems with other things melting or burning in the future?

my hose is made of silicone
So you had a silicone transplant...instead of an implant? You must have a really big hang!
Sorry to cut in, but I haven't figured out how to remove those buttons holding the insulation without damaging them. Are there any specific techniques for removing them?
